Synopsis
Sheriff Jack Tyler has a habit of looking the other way when there's trouble in Tylerville—but maybe that's because his old man happens to own the town. And maybe that's why they're none too happy when deputy Joe Bags decides to run against Tyler in the next election. Clint Adams comes to the aid of his old friend, agreeing to watch his back until the elections are over. But with Bags watching out for the Tylers, and the Gunsmith watching out for Bags, there's no one left to watch out for the Gunsmith—except the pretty and agreeable daughter of old Zack Tyler himself!

About the Author
J.R. Roberts (Robert J. Randisi) is an American author who writes in the Detective and Western genres. He has authored more than 500 published books and has edited more than 30 anthologies of short stories. Booklist magazine said he "may be the last of the pulp writers." He co-founded and edited Mystery Scene magazine and co-founded the American Crime Writers League. He founded The Private Eye Writers of America in 1981, where he created the Shamus Award.
