Synopsis
Tim's quiet holiday in Wales, with his parents and his best friend Biscuits, unexpectedly becomes truly terribly adventurous. An encounter with two local bully-boys threatens to disrupt Tim and Biscuits's fun but their friendship is also threatened by the arrival of Tim's ebullient friend, Kelly. Tim tells the story in snappy prose punctuated with revealing, illustrated extracts from his and Biscuits's holiday diaries.

Buried Alive! (for 9-11 year olds) is the highly entertaining sequel to Cliffhanger by Jacqueline Wilson, the award-winning author of The Story of Tracy Beaker, Double Act and Bad Girls. Only child young Tim is delighted when his kind but rather old-fashioned and conventional parents allow Biscuits, the fun friend he met on an Adventure Holiday, to come on vacation with him. They have the most wonderful times until two horrible big bullies, Prickle-Head and Pinch- Face decide to make their life a misery. Everything starts getting better and worse, when the bouncy, extrovert, tough Kelly, who insists on calling herself Tim's girlfriend, unexpectedly turns up in a caravan with her fun- loving mum, her younger siblings and her mum's tattooed boyfriend. This exciting, funny story has its serious side too when jealousies develop between the friends and when the bullies suddenly become a real threat.
