Excerpt from General Technical Report: Int 101-108
Trees were examined May 10 but no dfb attack was found. A second examination on May 22 disclosed that attacks had begun during the interim. On May 30 and 31, frass piles on the upper 60 percent of circum ference of all trees were counted to compare relative rates of attack.
