The authors present accurate and easy-to-apply methods of analysing and predicting long-term stresses and deformations. These methods allow designers to account for variations of concrete performance from project to project and from country to country, making the book universally applicable. This second edition includes new sections, a new chapter on control of cracking and examples at the end of every chapter worked out in British (Imperial) units. Many other examples are SI units, and the input data and main results are given in both units for ease of use by readers in all countries. The latest American and European codes of practice are covered in the appendices but the main part of the book is not tied to any specific code. Many design aids in the form of graphs and tables are included.
