This manual is a "ready-made" system for drawing offices carrying out design and detailing of reinforced concrete structures. Its aim is to provide a standard basis for communication between the design engineer in the drawing office and the reinforcement detailer. It is based on the in-house manual used and developed over many years by Ove Arup & Partners. This second edition has been fully revised in line with BS 8110, the current UK code of practice for structural concrete. It includes numerous illustrations of recommended details. This book should be of interest to structural engineers, structural engineering technicians, concrete detailers and draughtsmen, consultants, contractors, local authorities, and reinforcement suppliers.
