Synopsis

Contract LawBasics provides the perfect foil for students preparing for examination in both the specialism that is contract law, and all those courses for which there exists an element of contract law. This guide provides clear and concise analysis of the subject and contains all the necessary information required for the development of a basic understanding of the subject as pertaining to Scotland.

From the Author

Readers were kind in their comments on the first edition of this introduction to the Scottish law of contract. The purpose of the book is two-fold - to give a foundation or overview of the subject or to use it as a revision plan for exams or assessments. Contract law is usually the basis of any college or undergraduate course involving law or related subjects. Once the basics of contract law are mastered, other areas seem to follow on much more logically. This new edition includes some updating and a light revision of the main text. Obviously a short book cannot be fully comprehensive, otherwise it would a long book! I hope, however, that this foundation book will continue to be of use to the student for whom it was intended. I will welcome constructive comments on improvement for future editions.
