Synopsis
A revised edition of this complete course in structural analysis from undergraduate work on theory of structures up to more advanced work for the senior student and practising engineer. New sections review the basic mechanics of statically determinate structures, deal with structural symmetry and expand on the analysis of the effects of temperature and prestressing. The coverage of the finite element method and the use of computers in structural analysis has been totally rewritten and expanded by the addition of two new chapters.
