Review from previous edition "...clear, concise and readable..as good a basic guide to the various guises of trust and power as is available in any student work." (Journal of the Society of Public Teachers of Law)
"Experienced professional advisers as well as students will find it useful to have this work in the book-case." (Trusts and Estates)
This book has established itself as a basic textbook on the law of trusts. It is well set out and easy to follow, with good use made of sub-headings and of some examples, and with a straightforward style of writing that is often lacking in connection with trusts! It combines a statement of the principles of the law of trusts with an explanation of various of the more complicated parts of the law. The author deals firstly with the creation of trusts and the various forms of trust which can exist, and secondly with trustees - their appointment, powers and duties - and beneficiaries. This new edition has been revised to take full account of all the developments in this field since the appearance of the last edition in 1987.
