Synopsis
Lost and alone in the Alaskan forest, Granite, a Siberian Husky puppy, is rescued by the great white wolf, Snowdrift, and must earn his place in the tribe of wolves, as well as overcome the attacks of hunters.

About the Author
Elizabeth Hall is the author of a number of psychology textbooks and young adult novels. Her first children's book was published in 1967. Hall worked for nine years as an editor at Psychology Today and for three years at Human Nature. Her husband, Scott O'Dell, was widely known as a children's author. When he passed away, Hall took up the reins and and finished the manuscripts he left behind. She lives in New York with her second husband, Nat Gilbert.
Synopsis
Rather than be sold, Granite, a husky puppy, runs away into the Alaskan wilderness and is taken in by a wolf that has lost her pups.
