The 400 species featured live in habitats ranging from mountains and deserts to grasslands. The most usual landscape trees are also included. The range is wide geographically - from the Arctic treeline in Alaska and Canada to northern Mexico - and botanically, from pines, maples and giant sequoias to palm trees and yuccas.
