Synopsis
A Way of Being was written in the early 1980s, near the end of Rogers' career, and serves as a coda to his classic On Becoming a Person. More philosophical than his earlier writings, it traces his professional and personal development. Rogers concludes by predicting a more humane future.

The late Carl Rogers, founder of the humanistic psychology movement and father of client-centered therapy, based his life's work on his fundamental belief in the human potential for growth. A Way of Being, more personal and philosophical than his earlier writings, was written in the early 1980s, near the end of his distinguished career. This unique collection traces his professional and personal development from the sixties to the eighties and ends with a person-centered prophecy in which Rogers calls for a more humane future.
About the Author
Carl Rogers(1902-1987) was one of the most influential psychologists in American history. He received many honors, including the first Distinguished Professsional Contributor Award and the Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award of the American Psychological Association.
