At the end of this novel one is left with a feeling of grim determination that suggests in its very simplicity, a new valuation of life, of going on.

From the Author

autobiographical aspects of Cecilia Capture
The heroine of my novel is a third-year law student from an impoverished American Indian reservation. She is, as one review put it, "about to lose herself in drunkenness and raw promiscuity".Everyone thinks she is a "thinly disguised fictional version" of myself. Nothing I say has any effect. People go on believing what they want. Cecilia Capture isn't me. But it's a good novel. Read it and see.
