About the Authors
Roy Gutman, foreign editor of Newsday, Pulitzer Prize winner for international journalism, and author of A Witness to Genocide, lives on Long Island, New York.
David Rieff is a New York-based journalist and the author of A Bed for the Night and At the Point of a Gun.
