Synopsis
Written by a doctor who has herself had cancer, this aims to help cancer patients and their families through the first few months after diagnosis. It deals with the immediate questions that a cancer patient has, including: What is cancer? Will I lose my hair? How do I deal with my family? and explains remission and staging, among other terms. Reading and resource lists and a glossary of the most common tests that cancer patients undergo are also included.
