Linux is a relatively new freeware UNIX-like system for PCs (from 386 to Pentium) which was developed by an international community on the Internet. It has emerged as a viable alternative to commercial UNIX workstations with performance characteristics comparable to a RISC workstation. This kit contains information sources needed, in order to start using Linux. It details "Linux Universe", the CD-ROM and installation guide which contains a complete Linux system as well as "Linux: Unleashing the Workstation in Your PC" which introduces the concepts and features of Linux. The pack also contains an additional CD-ROM which, unlike the others, is not available separately.
