About the Author

JOANNA COLE was best known as the author of the beloved Magic School Bus series, She wrote over 250 books and also worked as a librarian, editor, and anthologiest. She died in 2020 at the age of 75.

STEPHANIE CALMENSON is the author of many books for children, including Dinner at the Panda Palace; May I Pet Your Dog?, and Look! Flowers. She is also the compiler, with Joanna Cole, of several anthologies, including Ready, Set, Read: The Beginning Reader's Treasury. Before becoming a full-time writer, Stephanie was an elementary school teacher and a children's book editor.
