Dessert lovers are sure to enjoy my latest offering!
I've always been a fan of chocolate. I can't think of any occasion that couldn't be made better by chocolate. Which drives my husband crazy since he's pure vanilla. But then opposites attract and all that ...
In my next book, THE SWEETEST THING, I decided to make my heroine, Faith Christopher, a French Pastry Chef. I came up with the idea while visiting a commercial bakery with my daughter's girl scout troop. (Sometimes those school trips really pay off.) Once I had my heroine in mind it was easy to come up with a hero, Alex Carrigan, who absolutely hates sugar and spice and everything nice. To make Alex's life even more complicated, I added in a troublesome grandfather in search of a lost love, a rebellious teenager and a romantic adventure to the mystical holy grounds of Arizona.
Whether you like sugar or spice, I hope you'll find THE SWEETEST THING an entertaining read. Enjoy!
