At a legal Parish meeting, August 22, 1805, 'it was voted to continue their candidate eight Sabbaths longer.
Impressed with the importance of proceeding with be coming prudence in the Weighty concern of settling a Minister, the Parish felt it their duty to ascertain what was truth concerna the various reports prejudicial to the character of their candidate.
