En général, pour que je cite un livre, il faut qu'il soit recommandable et accessible, sans tmp de diffi culté, aux étudiants auxquels je pense toujours en première ligne. Si je me suis parfois départi de cette règle, c'est ou bien qu'il n'existe pas (a ma connaissance) d'écrit meilleur, du moins en francais, sur la matière en question, ou bien que l'ouvrage cité présente un intérèt historique spécial, parce qu'il a fait sensation, parce qu'il a ouvert une voie nouvelle, en un mot, parce qu'il date.
