The indices to foreign places, with those to personal names and a limited index Of subjects, remain for the present in manuscript. The full descriptions of the charters also, with the exception of the Stowe Charters, described in the printed Cat. Of Stowe mss. Are in manuscript in the Department, and available there to readers on application.
