These notes have been given in the form of lec tures and drawing-board exercises for many years. They are here reduced to print to save time in note taking on the part of the student. A reader that finds no errors in these pages should read again. I am indebted to E. E. Howard, a former instructor, for much valuable assistance. Prof. E. C. H. Bantel, and Instructor S. P. Finch have rendered substantial aid. The chapter on Axometric Projec tions is a modification of notes taken under Dr. W. M. Thornton of the University of Virginia, when I was a student there.
