1976, and the punk explosion leads two friends to form a band in an attempt to set the world on fire. After a disastrous tour, and a major infidelity, they go their separate ways. Their feud continues over the next 20 years as one becomes a TV celebrity, the other a nursing assistant (temporary).

Jon Wright was born in 1957 and his family finally settled in Peterborough when he was fifteen. He was a member of a punk rock band in Peterborough when he was at Manchester Polytechnic and now manages a Barnado's childcare project in Bradford. He lives in Haworth, famous for the Bronte Sisters, though he has yet to meet any of them.
