Synopsis
No other biography brings the reader closer to the real C S Lewis than George Sayer’s warm and enlightening insider’s view. Jack details the great scholar’s life at the kilns; his career at Magdalen College; his relationship with Mrs Moore; meetings with the Inklings; marriage to Joy Davidman Gresham; and the creative process that produced such world famous works as the classic Chronicles of Narnia, Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters.
Sayer shows us a Lewis who is a very human, sometimes faulty or mistaken, but somehow all the greater for those weaknesses.
