The book is extremely well referenced and most chapters are written in easily accessible, non-technical language. An excellent book that can be highly commended as a reliable source of up-to-date and comprehensive information on sudden infant death syndrome.

The editors have masterfully adopted a multidisciplinary approach with authors including clinicians, microbiologists, paediatricians, paediatric pathologists, forensic pathologists and even a chapter by non-medically qualified investigative journalists on SIDS and Infanticide - which is a surprisingly well-written and thoughtful chapter. ..this it he best book I have seen on the topic...
