About the Author

Teresa Hale founded the Hale Clinic in London in 1987. A philosophy and economics graduate with a post-graduate degree in education, she became more widely interested in complementary medicine when working as a yoga instructor. Frequently asked to recommend other complementary practitioners to her clients, Teresa recognised the need for a centre where members of the public could consult a wide range of therapists. Her first clinic attracted such demand that she soon moved into a larger building, named the Hale Clinic, which now comprises 40 purpose-built consulting rooms, a health food restaurant and a dispensary. At the Hale Clinic 100 practitioners, many multi-disciplinary and with medical qualifications, work side by side ofering over 30 different treatments, including the revolutionary Buteyko Method.
