Synopsis
Dove Courtney is a tower of strength to her family, always ready to cook Sunday lunch for ten, do the shopping for her frail, elderly mother, throw a Boxing Day party for the neighbours. But when her impecunious brother arrives with his new wife, the 'Child Bride', and clearly plans to move in permanently, Dove puts her foot down. It's a decision that is to cost her her longstanding marriage. But then, perhaps Dove doesn't care too much about that.

Jill Roe has always written but sometimes 'only in her head' rather than on paper. In 1993, she won a writing competition run by the Mail on Sunday which started her writing seriously. She lives with her husband in Avon and has five grandchildren.
