Synopsis
During an archaeological dig in the icy Arctic tundra, a scientist stumbles upon a tiny embryo, still bearing the spark of life, in the womb of a 25.000-year-old Neanderthal woman. Using a surrogate mother, Ember is born, and as she grows, she begins to uncover the mysteries of her strange gifts.

About the Author
Born in 1952 in the farmtown of Maceo, Kentucky, Mark Canter has held a variety of jobs from dishwasher to surgical orderly. He has drummed and sang in a rock/jazz group; earned a degree in counselling and become a professional listener in a women's prison in Florida; joined an urban commune that practised a self-styled Zen; become a licensed massage therapist and worked as a male stripper. Ember from the Sun is his first novel.
