Originally published in the US as a paperback original by Fawcett Gold Medal in 1962 under the title The Name of the Game is Death. The edition under a new title was also published in the US by Fawcett and it has a number of text revisions relative to the original version. Slight creasing at the top of the back cover but otherwise the covers have only very slight surface and edge wear. The page edges are a little browned. Slight browning at the top edge of the inside of the front cover and light browning to the pages which are otherwise unmarked. First printing.
