About the Author

Glenn Laverack is Director, Health Promotion at the School of Population Health, University of Auckland. He has worked in health promotion, public health and community development for twenty years in Africa, Asia and the Pacific regions. His Ph.D. investigated the mechanisms of community empowerment.
