The importance of correct interpretation
Galatians is one of the most important letters written by St Paul; it is also one of the most misunderstood. My standpoint is that of the classical scholar who knows something of the first century world and the meaning of the Greek terms used by writers of the time. I avoid the irrelevant theological arguments which obscure much of the message of the letter, and concentrate on basic interpretation.
