The crew was transported to the job from Milwaukee, 9. Distance of 15 miles, by three of the men who owned Fords, the contractor paying these men the equivalent of the train fare for transportation.

Weather conditions and other delays beyond the control of the contractor and later freezing weather, interrupted progress of the job to such an extent that accurate data re; garding average production would mean very little. The aver age progress of the work was approximately on the basis of 30 ft. Per hour.
