Tion; thus in Volume I, section 525, note means that this section is subordinate to section 524; in Volume II, section 1264, note means that this section is subordinate to section 1263 - naturally an independent section may be followed by a number of subordinate sections bearing the indication note In the Syntax volume, all the sections devoted to poetic or dialectic syntax are printed in shorter lines. The quotations cited in the Syntax have all been verified and are printed as they appear in the texts, omissions not hearing on the rule cited being indicated by dots. In concluding these explanatory remarks, the author desires to state that he will be thankful to have pointed out to him any errors of any kind for future correction.
