Every American schoolboy learns that our Constitution was framed at Philadelphia in 1787 by the Constitutional Convention. However, the lives and careers of the Convention's fifty-five de'le gates are not so familiar.
The following article originally appeared in the magazine OF american history, volume XIII. April, 1885. Martha J. Lamb signed the article.
The Boards and the Staff of the Public Library of Fort Wayne and Allen County reprint the article verbatim in the hope that it will be interesting and informative to Library patrons.
