Excerpt from Prose Minori: Lettere Inedite e Sparse, Pensieri e Sentenze

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the little-known history of how Lombard and Latin populations existed side-by-side in medieval Italy. The author provides evidence that challenges the common assumption that the two groups eventually formed a single, unified people. Instead, the book argues that the Lombards and Latins remained largely separate and distinct, with different legal systems, customs, and identities. The author explores the reasons for this lack of unification and the consequences it had for both groups. This meticulously researched volume sheds new light on a complex and fascinating period of history, overturning long-held beliefs and offering fresh insights into the nature of conquest, domination, and cultural identity in the Middle Ages.
