The North Carolina Conference, in ordering the Board of Education to publish this pamphlet, set ting forth these facts, felt that the Methodist people would be gratified to know of the marvellous prosperity that has come to their College. It should be gratifying to our Church to know that it is the guardian of an institution of learning that offers the best advantages to Southern youth. No college is doing more for the intellectual develop ment of our State. This contribution to the life of North Carolina is an expression of Methodist patriotism. Trinity is loved and honored by thou sands of the sincerest men and women throughout the South, and has entered upon a. Career of useful ness that inspires large hope in the minds of all.
