It is highly interesting to observe that Hahnemann instinctively fol lowed the same primary and necessary plan, in studying the effects of remedies, which the primitive physicians were obliged to follow in their first studies of disease. Hahnemann rejected the major part of the materials of all the physicians who preceded him, and as the human mind will always act in the same manner under like circumstances, be naturally took the identical primary and elementary steps, in the study and diagnosis of remedies, which the ancient physicians took in their first studies of disease and its diagnosis.
