Synopsis

Sid is tired of being a slow snail. He wants to be faster than a flash of lightning. So, after consulting a trio of guru snails, Sid sets off to find the legendary Ralph the Magic Rabbit, who has powers to grant wishes. On his journey he meets a crow (called Joe) and a neurotic mouse (Martin), both looking for life-changing experiences too. As the three friends help each other through the various challenges of the forest, including carnivorous slugs and a poisonous swamp, they discover that as long as they’ve got each other they’re happy just as they are. That is, until Joe mentions Al the All-Powerful-Cow . . .

About the Authors

Adam has had a variety of jobs over the past ten years, from serving doughnuts at Disneyland Paris to teaching English at university. As a child, he loved comics, cartoons and any stories with jokes in - and he still does. He currently works as a web editor for one of the Guardian 's educational sites.

Henning Löhlein grew up in Germany and spent three years studying art in France before moving to England. He now lives in Bristol with his partner and young son, and divides his time between freelance illustration work and lecturing at the University of the West of England.
