Chapters 1-4
. Minor revisions have been made to these four chapters to improve readability and understanding.
Chapters 5-9
. These five chapters, which describe the arrhythmias in detail, have been revised substantially, based on current medical advances. The sections pertaining to the cause of the arrhythmias were extensively revised in greater detail.
. In addition, several arrhythmias have been added, as well as tables summarizing the essential diagnostic characteristics of each arrhythmia described in these five chapters, as presented in the pocket guide. The treatment protocols have also been updated to the latest ECC/AHA standards.
Chapter 10
. The arrhythmia treatment protocols have been upgraded to the latest ACC/AHA standards.
Chapters 11-14
. Minor revisions have been made to these four chapters to improve readability and understanding.
Chapters 15-18
. Now contain more complete descriptions of the acute coronary syndromes, including ST-elevation MI (STEMI), non-ST-elevation MI (NSTEMI), and unstable angina (UA). In addition, the sections describing the changes in the various components of the ECG affected in an acute MI have been revised to show how these ECG changes relate to acute coronary syndromes.

All chapters will be updated to comply with the upcoming 2006 ECC guidelines.
