Synopsis
"Structure and Function of the Body, 12th Edition", is a simplistic, yet comprehensive introductory anatomy and physiology textbook. The 21 chapters of the book present all the anatomy and physiology core information organized around two central and unifying themes: the complementarity of normal structure and function of the human body and homeostasis. These two core themes permeate all content areas of the text. The 12th edition of the text continues to build on the solid foundation of previous editions. The updated 4-color illustration program and centralized themes, as well as simplistic language, and solid pedagogical features provide a clear structure for student learning.

About the Author
Gary Thibodeau is Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He received his Ph.D. from South Dakota State University as well as an M.S. in Enzyme Kinetics, and an M.S. in Anatomy also from South Dakota State University. His B.S. is from Creighton State University. Gary is widely published in addition to his McGraw-Hill text, Athletic Injury Assessment. Gary enjoys teaching and encouraging learning.
