Synopsis
The OS Explorer map range are Ordnance Survey's most detailed maps, shown in 1:25 000 scale - 4cm on the map equals 1km on the ground. They and are ideal for outdoor activities like walking, horse riding and off-road cycling. They show roads and rights of way, permissive paths and bridleways, plus essential information such as youth hostels, pubs and visitor information points.
Dartmoor National Park is the largest area of open country in southern England and is ideal for outdoor adventure with its wooded gorges, tumbling rivers and open moorland. It's a popular area for wild camping, and is used by various groups for challenge events. Highlights of the area include Princetown, Buckfastleigh, The River Plym, and The Tarka Trail.
