About the Walks:

 

This new guide to the Isle of Wight replaces the Pathfinder Short Walks book, incorporating some of the routes from that much-loved guide but with adaptations and extensions to provide a more comprehensive selection of walks across the island, from The Needles to Bembridge and from Ryde to St Catherine’s Point. There’s something for everyone, from short walks of 3 to 5 miles, half-day walks up to 7½ miles, and longer, full-day outings of up to 14 miles.

 

There are 16 walks that sample the best sections of the 70-mile-long Isle of Wight Coastal Path, each offering stunning coastline views. Routes follow the river valleys of the Western Yar and Medina rivers, and take you around Newtown and Bembridge harbours. Venture into the island’s woodland at Brighstone Forest and Firestone Copse, and enjoy the heathland at Headon Warren.
