Recipes cover a wide selection courses such as: Australia - Carpet Bag Steak, steak stuffed with oysters; China - Shrimp with Ketchup; Germany - Hot Potato Salad with Bacon; Jamaica -Coconut Rice with Peas; Puerto Rico - Banana Cake. The book seems to be written for the young or novice cook. The recipes are clearly written and 'Warnings" are added to entries that use deep frying and other forms of potential danger. ; 8vo.
