Synopsis
This anthology contains 25 readings (12 new) on issues of science, technology and society. These readings examine from many perspectives how people think about technology; the relationships between technology and societal change; and the policy issues surrounding the promotion, use and control of technology. The book contains part introductions and headnotes for each essay. Other features include: an exploration of the relationship between society and technology with a focus on public policy, and nontechnical articles avoiding scientific or technological jargon. Albert H. Teich has also written "Science and Technology in the USA".
