Synopsis
Based on the author's award-winning TV documentary in 1987, this controversial account of the current trends in AIDS research refutes the popular theory that the HIV virus is the sole cause of AIDS, and instead looks at other possible viruses, for example syphilis, which have been ignored up to now. Jad Adams works on film documentaries whose subjects have included the international pharmaceutical industry, animal experiments and food fads. His work has mainly involved rendering scientific controversies accessible to a popular audience. His TV documentary "Aids - the unheard voices" won the Royal Telivision Society award for the best current affairs documentary.
