Synopsis
El progreso del peregrino (en ingles, The Pilgrim's Progress) es una novela alegorica por John Bunyan, originalmente publicada en ingles en 1678. Es considerada una de las obras clasicas literarias, habiendo sido traducida a mas de cien idiomas. Consta de dos partes-la primera fue publicada en 1678 y expandida en 1679, y la segunda fue publicada en 1684. El protagonista se llama Christiano, y la mayoria de los personajes son llamados por su caracteristica mas evidente. Relata el viaje de Christiano por su vida, buscando la salvacion. Todo comienza en un lugar llamado Ciudad de destruccion, Cristiano encuentra un libro y al estar interesado en su lectura pronto halla su condicion de perdido. Se halla ante un dilema, pues no quiere morir por el hecho de pensar que el infierno seria el lugar a donde deberia dirigirse. Un hombre llamado Evangelista es el que le ayuda a encontrar el camino hacia la salvacion.
