About the Author
Dr. Joanna Burger is a prominent ornithologist, now at Rutgers, with a magical flair for writing and a populist touch. Since her PhD at Minnesota, she has lectured tens of thousands of professionals and laypersons, influenced public policy and been published in many books and journals. Her fifteen-year relationship with Tiko strikingly bears the hallmarks of many of our own human bonds.
