Cette plantation n'était pas un essai à l'aventure. Encouragé par cet essai, mon frère avait ajouté 100 arpents à cette première plantation. Un de nos amis et compatriotes, M. S. De Fury, qui revenu en Europe depuis, partage maintenant son temps entre ses vignes a Vevey et ses orangers à Menton avait aussi établi une vigne de 20 arpents à trois milles de mon frère.
