Angle de projection ç. L'angle de projection est l'angle que fait la ligne de projection avec l'horizon, compté de bas en haut. Il est plus grand que l'angle de tir d'une certaine quantité, que l'on appelle l'angle de relèvement.
Il est en général nécessaire de tenir compte de l'angle de relè vement; mais on peut admettre que le plan vertical passant par la ligne de projection coïncide avec le plan de tir, et que le plan horizontal passant par l'origine de la trajectoire coïncide avec l'horizon de la pièce.
Point de chute. Le point de chute est le point où la trajectoire rencontre l'horizon de la pièce; il ne faut pas le confondre avec le point où le projectile rencontre le sol.
