Synopsis

Purpose: To stimulate oral language development; to diagnose pupil knowledge of country life; to extend and clarify concepts of farm animals, buildings, and work; to develop ability to get information from pictures; to provide practice in eye-hand co ordination' and in following precise directions.
Directions: Discuss each picture on pages 1 and 2. Cut sheet from book. Cut out individual pictures and then fasten between covers of colored paper to make a booklet. Use the booklet to 'teach correct handling of books and to take a vicarious trip to a farm.
