Le Roi ne devant revenir du château de Bellevue à Versailles que le jeudi au soir, les gens du Roi se sont mis en chemin de bon matin, le vendredi 1 janvier 1751 ils ont été annoncés apparemment par M le comte d'argenson, secrétaire d'état de Paris; et, comme le premier jour de l'an est un jour tumultueux à Versailles, où le Roi reçoit les visites de la Reine, de toute la fa mille royale, des princes et princesses du sang, detente la Cour, de tous les chevaliers de l'ordre du Saint - Esprit, qui même accompagnent le Roi à la messe, en a fait réponse auxdits gens du Roi qu'ils n'auroient audience qu'à cinq heures du soir.
